The hotel is located directly in the old town of Wismar, just a short walk away from the harbor. The rooms are located in five different parts of the historic building which dates back form the 15th century, they vary in size due to the shape of the buildings and are decorated in pastel colors. The traditional restaurant on the ground floor offers local and international food. The Alter Speicher is the sister hotel of the Alter Speicher in Luebeck and it is run by the same family.
