The hotel is located at the very top of a hill on the edge of a large wood, 6 kilometres from the centre of Ruedesheim. There is no public transport available, though at certain times of year a cable car is in operation down to Assmannshausen. The bedrooms are furnished in various subdued colour schemes to a high traditional standard and have a very homely atmosphere. Due to the age of the building they vary a lot in size, but on average they are medium sized.
